A fan favourite with not only the pink army but around the world, Sterling has become a household name in the global netball community.

The international star continued to deliver in the Thunderbirds’ defensive end, recording stellar numbers yet again in 2022.

Sterling finished the season on an outstanding 1177.5 Nissan Net Points - ranked third in the league.

She topped the league for intercepts with 52 – 16 more than the second-highest ranked player – as well as 67 deflections and 37 rebounds.

As a result, she was named in GK in the SSN Team of the Year for 2022. 

To cap it all off, she was crowned Subway Club Champion, Players’ Player Award and the Members’ Player Award.

Sterling burst onto the SSN scene in 2019 and has been a human highlights reel ever since.

In her debut year, she finished top of the League leader board in Nissan Net Points (NNP) with 1282, deflections with 120, intercepts with 68 and defensive rebounds with 35.

The following year, was named dual Club Champion and in 2021, she topped the league for intercepts with 49.

Off the court, she studies Primary Education.
