Shamera Sterling-Humphrey

A fan favourite all around the world, Sterling-Humphrey has become a household name in the global netball community.

The international superstar extended her long list of accolades in 2026, becoming a three-time premiership star for the Thunderbirds.
 
She also added supermum to her title as she made her return to the netball court following the birth of her son Xaihire in late 2025.
 
In her first year as co-captain, she became the club’s fifth premiership captain as she lifted the trophy alongside Georgie Horjus at the end of the season.
 
She topped the league for deflections with 107, defensive rebounds with 37, blocks with 15, and finished second to teammate Latanya Wilson for intercepts with 37.
 
Sterling-Humphrey is a three-time Club Champion for the Thunderbirds and is among the only four athletes to take out the coveted Super Netball MVP award since the competition’s inception in 2017.

Signing a three-year extension, Sterling-Humphrey will be with the Thunderbirds until at least the end of the 2029 season.
