South Australian local Tayla Williams has made her mark in the Adelaide Thunderbirds midcourt.

In her second season with the club and in SSN, Tayla Williams became a premiership player.

She recorded 793 Nissan Net Points to go with 205 feeds and 172 goal assists. She also finished first for the club for pick-ups with 36 and fourth for deflections with 31.

Post-season, she represented Australia at the Fast5 Netball World Series.

Ahead of the 2024 season, she was voted by her peers into the club's leadership group for the first time.

Hailing from Balaklava in the state’s Mid North, Williams had been a training partner with the Thunderbirds since 2020 and was rewarded with an official contract ahead of the 2022 season.

The versatile midcourter came through the Netball SA Pathway, starting with Hummocks Netball Club as a junior before joining Contax Netball Club in the Netball SA Premier League.

Williams also represented SA at the 2019 National Championships, where she won gold with the U19 side. That same year, she represented the Southern Force in the Australian Netball League.
