Elle McDonald

A versatile midcourter from Victoria, McDonald experienced her first official Suncorp Super Netball season in 2021 in her debut year in the pink dress.

The 27-year-old moved through wing attack and centre in 2021, demonstrating her dynamic movement and maturity on court.

McDonald joined the Thunderbirds after the 2020 season, during which she was a training partner with eventual premiers the Melbourne Vixens.

She was chosen to travel with the side to the Queensland Hub and played two games for the Victorian side.

Prior to that, she played for the Victorian Fury and was a member of the 2019 side that won the Deakin University Australian Netball League (DUANL) premiership. 

She was also named in the 2019 Victorian Netball League (VNL) Team of the Year for the Championship division.

Off the court, McDonald is a qualified Health and Physical Education Teacher.
