Versatile midcourter Elle McDonald has re-signed with the Adelaide Thunderbirds ahead of the 2022 season.
McDonald joined the Thunderbirds for the 2021 season and played both centre and wing attack in her first year of Suncorp Super Netball.
The 27-year-old finished the season strong, impressing in Adelaide’s one-goal victory over the Sunshine Coast Lightning in Round 12 and the side’s 8-goal win over the Melbourne Vixens in Round 13.
Thunderbirds High Performance Manager Pitre Bourdon said the club excited to welcome McDonald back in 2022.
“Elle is a very versatile athlete and brings great maturity and game smarts to the group,” Bourdon said.
“We saw great signs from her this season and we look forward to seeing her grow again next year.
“She had an interrupted pre-season in 2021 so we’re really excited for her to get a full pre-season behind her and come out firing in 2022.”
