The Adelaide Thunderbirds will celebrate their Trade Up Match this Saturday night as the undefeated side hosts the winless Giants at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
The Trade Up Match returns for the third-consecutive season as the club announces its extension with major partner the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).
It will once again shine a light on CITB’s Trade Up Campaign, which focuses on educating young people on the benefits of pursuing a career in construction.

Thunderbirds vice-captain Matilda Garrett said the side was excited to share the Trade Up campaign messaging with the Thunderbirds family on Saturday.
“The Trade Up campaign is all about encouraging young people to consider a career in construction,” Garrett said.
“I know a lot of tradies, including my partner, and I get to see firsthand how much he loves his job and all the benefits that come with it.
“We’re really excited to be back at home and to share this message with our Pink Army.”
Netball SA CEO Bronwyn Klei said the partnership would continue to support netball at all levels.
“We’re excited to announce the continuation of our partnership with the Construction Industry Training Board, marking the third year of us working together to support netball across South Australia," Klei said.
“Trade Up Match is back, which means you can expect hard hats and high vis, as well as a junior tradie activation in our fan village and a wheelbarrow race at three-quarter-time.
“This match provides a great opportunity for us to share the Trade Up message and encourage our audience to consider a career in construction.”
CITB CEO Holly Willcox said the partnership presented an invaluable opportunity to share the Trade Up message with an important audience.
“Netball reaches a passionate, predominantly female audience - and that’s exactly why this partnership matters,” Willcox said.
“If we want more women and girls to consider construction, we need to show them the breadth of roles available and the people thriving in them, because you can’t be what you can’t see.
“At Saturday night’s game, we’re also giving the Pink Army a fun way to get involved - complete the Trade Up survey to find out which broad construction career areas might suit you, and you could be joining the team on-court to participate in the all-important coin toss and for a photo with the team after the game.”
The Adelaide Thunderbirds’ Trade Up Match will take place Saturday, April 11 from 6:30pm ACST at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre as the side hosts the Giants.
