On the back of the Adelaide Thunderbirds’ 2024 SSN premiership season, three athletes have been selected to represent Australia in November’s FAST5 World Series in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Premiership goal attack Lauren Frew has earned her first FAST5 selection after a breakout rookie season with the Thunderbirds, recording a total of 647.5 NNP and earning the Player of the Match recognition in the Major Semi-Final.
Joining Frew in Christchurch will be premiership teammates Lucy Austin and Tayla Williams.
Austin will make her third-consecutive appearance in the green and gold having played in the last two FAST5 competitions, where she won back-to-back gold medals.
Williams will also be returning to the side for a second-consecutive year following a standout 2024 SSN season where she picked up two Player of the Match awards in Rounds 4 and 9.
The series will take place in Christchurch, New Zealand from November 9 – 10, as netball nations England, Jamaica, South Africa, and Uganda compete on the world stage.
Australia has won the last two FAST5 Netball World Series and will look to make it three in a row with Head Coach Anita Kellan at the helm.
