The Adelaide Thunderbirds will travel to the Team Girls Cup pre-season tournament this weekend with an extended squad of 13.
Coming off three consecutive pre-season wins in the past two weeks, the Thunderbirds head to Sydney for the tournament from Friday, March 22 to Sunday, March 24.
Training partners Nyah Allen, Sophie Casey, Tyler Orr, and Molly Watson will travel with the side as it prepares for an intensive three days of netball.
Hannah Petty will travel with the squad but will continue to be load managed as she overcomes an ankle injury.
Head Coach Tania Obst said Team Girls Cup will be another opportunity to test different on-court combinations ahead of Round One.
"TGC gives our team a final hit-out before the start of the season, so we look forward to putting into play specific elements of our game that we have been working on in training," Obst said.
"A strength we have developed over the past few years is having athletes who can play multiple positions and different unit combinations with the ability to implement the game plan.
"Our shooting circle combinations are evolving, and we will consider doing this again at Team Girls Cup."
The Thunderbirds will kick-off Team Girls Cup at 4pm ACDT on Friday as they take on the Melbourne Vixens in the first match of the tournament.
On Saturday, they face the Sunshine Coast Lightning at 10am ACDT and GIANTS Netball at 5:10pm ACDT, with results determining where the side lands for Finals on Sunday.
All matches will be broadcast live via Fox Sports and Kayo Freebies.
