The Adelaide Thunderbirds have announced three of the state’s best male netballers will be joining the club’s training environment as male training partners for 2026.
The Thunderbirds welcome back inaugural 2025 male training partner, Aalen Davis, while Alec Davis and Saxon Hay will be participating for the first time.
Speedy WA/GA Aalen Davis is a dual premiership player for Garville Netball Club after the Greys secured back-to-back championships in the 2025 Men’s Super League season.
He represented his country for the first time in 2022 in the 20 and Under Men’s Side at the Trans-Tasman Cup and has been a part of the 23 and Under Australian program ever since.
As the inaugural Men’s Super League was born at the end of the 2023, he became the second-ever male player to sign with Garville Netball Club.
Alec Davis made history in January when he debuted for the Australian Kelpies side, becoming the first South Australian athlete to receive a Kelpies cap in 30 years.
After first being selected into the squad in October 2025, he officially became Kelpie #117 as the Australian side took on South Africa.
The GS has been a star for Matrics Netball Club in the Men’s Super League competition since its inception in 2025.
Saxon Hay earned his first selection in the Australian Under 23s side in 2022 and has consistently been selected in the side ever since.
In 2025, he was named in the Under 23s touring squad that travelled to England to compete.
In the Men’s Super League, he’s a dual premiership player for Garville Netball Club, starring for the greys throughout their midcourt.
The trio will be a part of the Thunderbirds training environment across the season.
