The Adelaide Thunderbirds membership base have voted in star defender Latanya Wilson as their Most Valuable Player for 2025.
This marks Wilson’s third award recognition for the season after she was crowned Adelaide University Club Champion and the Valour Players’ Player in August.
The Jamaican international found a new gear in her already impressive game style in 2025, stepping up in the absence of Shamera Sterling-Humphrey.
Her versatility was on full display as she starred across wing defence, goal defence, and goal keeper on multiple occasions.
She was number one in the league for intercepts with 40 - 17 clear of the next best - and deflections with 95 - 27 clear of the next best.
She also led her side in Nissan Net Points with an impressive 1017, along with defensive rebounds at 18.
Wilson picked up four Player of the Match nods along with five fan-voted MVP awards.
In Round 13, she equalled the record for most intercepts in a Super Netball match with 9, along with 12 gains, 9 deflections and 122 Nissan Net Points.
