South Australian shooter and dual premiership player Lauren Frew has re-signed with the Adelaide Thunderbirds, entering her fourth season in 2027.
The GA/GS played in all 16 of the side’s matches in 2026, executing a crucial role in the attacking end and building a strong combination with recruit Elmeré van der Berg.
In Round 3, she recorded 54 net points with 10 goal assists, 13 feeds and 12 goals at 100% in just under a half of netball.
She became a dual premiership player for the club in 2026 after also being a key part of the side’s 2024 premiership in her debut season.
An Adelaide local, Frew has come through the Netball SA Pathway, representing her state on multiple occasions and securing premierships with the Matrics Netball Club.
In 2024, she was named Super Netball Rookie of the Year and went on to represent Australia at the Fast5 Netball World Series.
Thunderbirds Head Coach Tania Obst said the club was pleased to welcome Frew back.
“Lauren’s grown a lot with us over the past three seasons and has proven her ability to be adaptable,” Obst said.
“She brings great speed and dynamic movement in our attack end and has built strong connections in our shooting circle.
“She’s a South Australian pathway athlete and we look forward to working with her again.”
