The Adelaide Thunderbirds will celebrate 30 years in 2026 as the club pays homage to its rich history.
A proud foundation club of Australian netball, the Thunderbirds have represented South Australia since 1997 and brought glory to the state in each of its six premierships.
In celebration of this milestone, the club has unveiled its new home dress, inspired by the design worn during their first back-to-back premierships in 1998 and 99.
Created by the club’s apparel partner Valour Sport, the new design features the Thunderbirds’ inaugural logo from 1997 and six stars representing each premiership.
Valour Sport has been the club’s apparel partner since 2021 and will continue to be until at least the end of 2027 after signing a two-year extension.
A complementary merchandise range will also be launched in celebration of the 30-year milestone.
Thunderbirds dual premiership player Tayla Williams said the side was honoured to wear a design that reflected the players and staff who had come before them.
“Having the opportunity to celebrate our 30 years is incredibly special,” Williams said.
“We have such a proud history and we love celebrating everyone who has come before us.
“It’s so exciting that we have elements of our history and our first back-to-back premierships represented in our dress design for this season.
“We’re excited that Valour have extended their partnership and given us a design we can be really proud to walk out onto court in.”
