Netball SA has made several decisions around the Adelaide Thunderbirds’ upcoming events and programs as the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to take its toll.
With the health and wellbeing of the players, staff and wider community at the forefront of every decision made, a number of events have been cancelled.
On Tuesday, the club announced its Fan Day had been cancelled, along with the Mighty Murray Clash against the Vixens in Berri.
In addition, precautionary measures have been put in place to specifically protect the players and coaches.
Access to the team has been restricted with administration staff utilising technology to make contact.
All player appearances have also been suspended to help protect both the players and the wider community from the spread of the virus.
At this stage, the Thunderbirds are continuing their training program as usual, with increased hygiene practices.
