South Australian midcourter Tyler Orr will depart the Adelaide Thunderbirds at the end of the 2024 season to pursue an opportunity overseas.
Orr has been a training partner with the Thunderbirds since 2021 and was elevated to the side’s inaugural 11th contracted player for the 2024 season.
The 24-year-old from Moana made her SSN debut with the Collingwood Netball Club in 2020 where she was signed mid-season.
In 2024, she captained the Adelaide Thunderbirds Futures in the inaugural SN Reserves competition.
Orr starred for her side and was voted by her teammates as the club’s Players Player award for her impact on and off the court.
Thunderbirds General Manager of High Performance Jace Bode thanked Orr for her outstanding contribution to the club over the last four seasons.
“Tyler has had a big impact on this club both on and off the court, particularly in 2024 as she juggled her responsibilities as our inaugural 11th player and captain of our Futures side,” Bode said.
“She’s a natural leader and is highly respected amongst the playing group and staff.
“We wish Tyler the best of luck as she pursues this opportunity overseas and thank her for everything she has done for our club.”
