Now in 2019, as elite Adelaide Thunderbirds players, Cody and Hannah are inspiring young kids to be involved in netball through their roles as Suncorp NetSetGO Ambassadors.
Suncorp NetSetGO is a fun, safe, social and active program for girls and boys aged 5 to 10. It gives kids of all abilities a positive introduction to netball and teaches them the basic skills of the sport.
“I’m super excited to be a Suncorp NetSetGO Ambassador because I want to get out in the community and introduce netball to kids,” Cody said. “I think it’s exciting to teach and see their ball and mechanical skills developing.
“After watching my older sisters play, I was raring to play netball. I think NetSetGO is awesome, because it gives kids the opportunity to start developing those skills at a young age. I couldn’t start playing until I was 7, so it’s great kids can now start at 5."
Hannah said she’s looking forward to creating a fun environment for boys and girls to learn netball in.
“NetSetGO is all about having fun, learning netball skills, making friends and being active,” she said. “I also can’t wait to see the young kids fall in love with the sport I love.”
Cody and Hannah have been identified as powerful influencers in the netball community. They are looking forward to attending NetSetGO club training sessions, presentation events, association carnivals and clinics over the coming months.
If you are a 2019 NetSetGO Centre keep a look out for an email from Cody Lange as her and Hannah are both eager to meet as many NetSetGO players as possible.
Also, stay tuned as in the coming weeks we will announce further Adelaide Thunderbirds players who will be NetSetGO Ambassadors.
