The Adelaide Thunderbirds will welcome one of the league’s most exciting young players in 2022, with attacker Tippah Dwan signing with the club.
The 21-year-old made a name for herself in 2020 with a breakout season at the Queensland Firebirds, impressing with her fast movement and accuracy at the post.
In her first season of Super Netball in 2020, she shot 184 goals, recorded 148 goal assists, 255 feeds and 253 centre pass receives – demonstrating her immense impact in the Firebirds attack line.
Dwan experienced less court time in 2021 with the return of Gretel Bueta, but still shot 48 goals, recorded 62 goal assists and 101 feeds.
Last month, Dwan was selected in the 2021/22 Australian Development Squad – the direct pathway to the Australian Diamonds.
Thunderbirds High Performance Manager Pitre Bourdon said Dwan added great versatility to the side.
“Tippah is a very dynamic and agile player who will bring great netball smarts to our attack end,” Bourdon said.
“We’ve seen what she’s capable of over the past two SSN seasons and we’re very excited to welcome her to our club.”
