The Adelaide Thunderbirds and Netball SA have today announced that they will support South Australians affected by bushfires this summer with a Bushfire Relief Fundraiser on Saturday 22 February 2020.
The club acknowledges the selfless work of our firefighters, emergency services, volunteers and communities in supporting those affected by the bushfires.
The Adelaide Thunderbirds will take on Southern Force, the state’s Australian Netball League team, in a bushfire relief match with doors opening at 8:30am. Following the match, athletes will participate in a meet and greet signing session with fans.
Securing a seat will cost $5 at the door or online, with 100% of sales to be donated to the Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Appeal. The Red Cross supports evacuation centres and recovery hubs, first aid, emergency assistance, volunteers and recovery programs for people affected by bushfires.
