Adelaide Thunderbirds premiership captain Hannah Petty will return for her ninth and tenth seasons in pink after re-signing for 2024 and 2025.
Petty led her home club to the ultimate success in 2023, playing in her first SSN finals series and eventually bringing home the trophy for her first premiership.
Despite missing four matches due to injury, her influence and leadership were evident across the season, and she made a real impact when returning to court.
Playing across centre and wing defence, she finished the season with 92 feeds, 73 goal assists and eight intercepts.
Thunderbirds High Performance Manager Pitre Bourdon said Petty’s leadership was invaluable to the side’s success.
“Hannah has grown up at the Thunderbirds and led as captain since 2020, and her impact is evident both on and off the court,” Bourdon said.
“After eight seasons, it was amazing to see her lead the club to a premiership in 2023 and we’re excited to build on that in 2024 and beyond.”
