Adelaide Entertainment Centre will host the third and final South Africa Series match between the Origin Australian Diamonds and SPAR Proteas this October.
The series will culminate in Adelaide on Sunday, 12 October at 4.00pm ACST / 4.30pm AEST, following matches in Bendigo and Wollongong.
The Diamonds’ return to Adelaide marks one year since they sealed a dominant series victory over the England Roses, commencing the series at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre to draw a record crowd of 9,102 fans.
Adelaide’s passion for netball has been on full display over the past year, with the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final selling out at Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
This year the city also proudly hosted the Suncorp Team Girls Cup pre-season tournament that attracted fans from across Australia eager to see the world’s best netball league in action.
Speaking about the series closer, Netball Australia CEO Stacey West said Adelaide has proven itself as a premier netball destination and expects fans to once again turn out in force.
“We’re thrilled to bring the final match of the South Africa Series to Adelaide as a city that continues to show incredible support for our game,” West said.
“Adelaide has delivered some of the most memorable moments in recent netball history, from last year’s England Series opener, to a packed house for the Super Netball Grand Final.
“This series against South Africa is a key opportunity for the Diamonds to build momentum ahead of a huge international calendar in 2026, and we know South Australian fans will create an incredible atmosphere."
Netball South Australia CEO Bronwyn Klei said the South Australian netball community will embrace the opportunity to host Australia’s best.
“It's no secret that we love our netball here in South Australia and I have no doubt that our community will be out in force to support the Diamonds,” Ms Klei said.
“The Adelaide Entertainment Centre has become a fortress for our Adelaide Thunderbirds and has hosted several significant matches in recent years, including the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final.
“I’m sure the Australian Diamonds will put on a show and Adelaide will welcome them with open arms.”
The 2025 South Africa Series gets underway at Bendigo’s Red Energy Arena on Saturday, 4 October at 7:30pm AEST. Match two will take place at WIN Entertainment Centre on Wednesday, 8 October at 7.30pm AEST.
The three-match series is live with no ad-breaks during play on Kayo Sports and Foxtel.
Following the gripping three-match series, the focus will turn to the 2025 Constellation Cup, set for Melbourne’s John Cain Arena on Friday, 17 October, and Qudos Bank Arena on Wednesday, 22 October, before the competition crosses the Tasman.
