Charlee, a training partner with the Adelaide Thunderbirds, has been playing in New Zealand’s ANZ Premiership this year with the Northern Stars and joined the Adelaide Thunderbirds earlier this week.
Melody Cooper, General Manager – Adelaide Thunderbirds and Elite Pathways, said on Charlee’s announcement into the team:
“Charlie presents as another shooter along with Maria Folau and Sasha Glasgow. Charlee can bring her experience from New Zealand into the team and inject her New Zealand experience into the attack against West Coast Fever”.
This is a performance based decision, although a tough one to make when you are working with career netballers who are committed and work incredibly hard to be a part of the team.
Cody will remain with the Adelaide Thunderbirds, and will continue to work on her craft. She will play with Southern Force in the Australian Netball League this week.
