The Adelaide Thunderbirds will come up against GIANTS Netball at Priceline Stadium, with the first centre pass to be taken at 2:30pm ACST in a match that is expected to be a battle of the goal circles.
A key match up will see Jamaican defender Shamera Sterling (Adelaide Thunderbirds) take on Australian Diamonds shooter Caitlin Bassett (GIANTS Netball) in a tense clash of two tall and spectacular athletes who will be determined to help their teams over the line.
Down the other end of the court, South African shooting sensation Lenize Potgieter will line up in her first match for the club against ex-Thunderbird defender Sam Poolman, another hotly contested match up that will play a significant part in the match’s outcome.
The match also sees Tania Obst, Adelaide Thunderbirds Head Coach, head-to-head against her old team, where she spent two years working under Julie Fitzgerald as Assistant Coach at the GIANTS in 2017-2018.
Friends off the court and foes for the 60 minutes on court, both coaches will be desperate to take eight points to start their season on a high.
The full 2020 Suncorp Super Netball fixture will be released on Friday 15 November 2019.
