South Australian shooter Lauren Frew has continued to shine in the Thunderbirds environment, executing a crucial role in the side’s attack end in 2026.
The GA/GS appeared in all 16 matches this season, building a strong combination in the shooting circle with recruit Elmeré van der Berg.
Frew's standout performance came in Round 3, where she recorded 54 net points, 10 goal assists, 13 feeds and 12 goals at 100% accuracy, all in just under a half of netball.
She became a dual premiership player for the club this season, after also being a part of the 2024 premiership side in her debut season.
That same year, she was named Super Netball Rookie of the Year and represented Australia at the Fast5 Netball World Series.
Frew is a Netball SA Pathway product, starring for Matrics Netball Club in The Hospital Research Foundation Group Premier League and representing the state at Nationals.
In 2023, Frew became a Thunderbirds training partner and played a key role in the club’s Futures side where she won bronze at the Australian National Championships.
Off court, she studies a Bachelor of Law and Commerce.
