International star defender Latanya Wilson will enter her sixth season with the Adelaide Thunderbirds in 2026.
The Jamaican defender solidified her place amongst the world's best netballers in 2025.
In the absence of Shamera Sterling-Humphrey, she found another gear and put her name up in lights as she starred across WD, GD and GK.
She was number one in the league for intercepts with 40 – 17 clear of the next best – and deflections with 95 - 27 clear of the next best.
In Round 13, she equalled the record for most intercepts in a Super Netball match with 9, along with 12 gains, 9 deflections and 122 Nissan Net Points.
The defender ended the season with 1017 Nissan Net Points, was crowned the Adelaide University Club Champion for the second-consecutive year, and was named in the 2025 SSN Team of the Year in GD.
Wilson became a dual premiership player in 2024 season with an incredible 1094 Nissan Net points, 89 deflections, 46 intercepts and 11 rebounds.
In January of 2020, she made her debut for the Jamaican Sunshine Girls.
Off the court, Wilson is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts.
