Georgie Horjus
South Australian talent and key playmaker Georgie Horjus will enter her fifth season with the Adelaide Thunderbirds in 2025.
The Kangaroo Island product continued to rise in 2024 as she became a dual premiership player at just 22 years of age. The versatile WA/GA finished the season with 1094.5 Nissan Net Points as she led her side for goal assists with 230 and centre pass receives with 248. Post-season, she was voted by her peers as the club’s Players’ Player for 2024 and the Pink Army as the Members’ Player. Her impressive form earned her a maiden selection with the Australian Diamonds squad for 2024-25 and she was named for her first international tour in September. Horjus started her netball journey with Parndana Netball Club before joining Contax Netball Club in the Premier League. She came through the Netball SA pathway, representing the Southern Netball Academy at the Academy Games and SA at the National Netball Championships. Off court, Horjus studies Human Movement and a Master of Secondary Teaching.FIND OUT MORE
