Elmeré van der Berg burst onto the Super Netball scene in her debut season in 2026, quickly establishing herself as one of the league's most formidable shooters.
The 25-year-old South African international made club history in her very first appearance, setting a new record with 59 goals in Round 1 and continued to dominate week after week.
Standing at 191cm, the versatile GS/GA finished the season with 810 goals at an impressive 91% accuracy, earning her the title of the league's top goal scorer.
She also topped the Net Points standings with a remarkable 1375, cementing her status as one of the competition's standout performers.
Van der Berg saved her best performance for the biggest stage of all, shooting 51 goals at 98% accuracy in the grand final and sharing fan-voted MVP honours with teammate Kate Heffernan.
Prior to joining the club, Van der Berg was the top scorer in the UK’s Netball Super League in 2025 with 567 goals at 92% accuracy and an incredible 87 super shots across 16 games.
She is a regular member of the Spar Proteas, representing her country at the 2026 and 2022 Commonwealth Games and 2023 Netball World Cup.
